With Teamspeak 3 anyone can create and moderate their own channel. To make your channel, while connected right click on -=CoN=- TS3 Server and choose create channel.
A dialog will open with several options.
The name of the channel.
You can set a password for your channel so that only those that know it can join. (optional)
You can put a topic of your channel (optional)
You can describe your channel. (optional)
You can set the needed talk a power for users that come in. (optional) (More on this below)
Once you have the setting configure and you press ok, you will be moved to the channel and made channel admin. With the channel admin privilege you can:
Edit your channel (change password, talk power, topic, etc).
Add people to higher groups in your channel.
Grant talk power to people.
Kick people from your channel.
Once everyone leaves the channel it will be deleted.
Talk Power and Groups
So let?s say that you set the talk power to 25 when you are creating your channel or you edit it to 25. When anyone comes into the channel they will be muted. At this point the channel admin can do 1 of 2 things to allow people to talk.
1. Put them in the voice group or higher. This only works if the channel does not have a needed talk power more than 25.
2. Grant them talk power. (Does not matter what needed talk power is set to).
If you add someone to the operator group then they now have permission to grant talk power to others. If you grant someone channel admin power then they will have the same rights as you.
Give it a try and if you have any questions please post in the get help section.
