Hi -=CoN=- team,
as you played some months ago in the NBK Cup, maybe you're interested in the next "Oldschool Cup 2011", a sniper cup played in the "oldschool" mode...that means: no rules (so no penalties), bonus, tricky maps, redeemer, telefragging and so on...

The Big Oldschool-Cup Autumn 2011
Like in the great -]NBK[- Cup there will be 3 competitions.
We will start off with the Group Stage (Deathmatch) to sort the teams into the groups.
After that the Classify Competition will be played to find the top teams who will join the Gold Competition.
Lower placed Teams will join the Silver Competition, by that they are still able to play finals.

Who can register?
Every Team can register (doesn't have to be a Clan).
How to register?
Example:

Match-rules
Group Stage:
To sort the teams into the groups, we start the cup with a DeathMatch-Game.
Play smart, cause for this game, we activate CamperEnhanced. This mutator removes 1 frag, when you die. It counts actually the score.
Maps:
We found a big package of very old historic maps. Some of them have punkys and secrets like in the good old times. Some of them are pretty small and some of them are very large. The maps are sorted in different lists of the mapvote menu. Maplist
That means:
1st list 4-5 players each team
2nd list 6-7 players each team
3rd list 8-x players each team
Please do not hide your players in TS! We have to trust the teams, that you bring as much players as possible into the match.
How to pick a map?
Like in the -]NBK[- Cup, every match starts with a fixed map after which the losing team will choose the next map.
Classify-Competition:
4 maps to play. If there is a [US]-Team against a [EU]-Team, 2 maps will be played on a [US]-Server and 2 maps on a [EU]-Server. Its possible to play a tie (2:2)
Silver-Cup:
4 maps to play. If there is a [US]-Team against a [EU]-Team, 2 maps will be played on a [US]-Server and 2 maps on a [EU]-Server. If it comes a tie you have to play the 5th map. The server for the 5th map (US or EU) will be chosen by the team with the most total frags in the maps before.
Golden-Cup:
4 maps to play. If there is a [US]-Team against a [EU]-Team, 2 maps will be played on a [US]-Server and 2 maps on a [EU]-Server. If it comes a tie you have to play the 5th map. The server for the 5th map (US or EU) will be chosen by the team with the most total frags in the maps before.

Game Rules:
Oldschool doesn't have rules.
-- assault allowed
-- hunting allowed
-- spawnkill allowed (Spawnprotection 7 secs)
-- revenge (even close) allowed
-- hiding or chicken-tactic allowed
-- teleporter camping allowed
-- lift camping allowed
-- base camping (more than 2 players in the same place) allowed
-- image drop allowed
Do we have to say: "Keep your language"?
Penalty:
first rulebreak --- which rule?
second rulebreak --- no rules
third rulebreak --- still no rule
forth rulebreak --- ok then map forfeit

We will host Servers in Europe and for our US friends we also will host a Server in USA.

Deemer, Amplifier and Invisible will be a voting

I'm happy you are in and I hope the cup will be amazing for all: oldschool mod is very similar to -=CoN=- freestyle sniper (except for bonuses and redeemer), I know it will be very interesting...this time there will be no rules, only pure fun !
It looks like that also {oToD}, [EST] and [LAGG] teams (yes, [LAGG], maybe we will see DEMOLITION) have a mind to join the cup !

Sorry guys, I think to have bad news about the Oldschool Cup...autumn has passed and no cup was setup.
At the moment I think this cup will not take place, maybe later but I can't say when. I tried to get infos on SniperAdmins website but no one replied 
Hope to give better news in the next months, sorry again. |
