Deobfuscate uscript code in .u packages

Hello everyone,
yesterday a friend of mine sent me a nice program, Choco Package Editor, an unreal package editing tool that allows you to change/modify/deobfuscate any .u package...well, it works !
You can use it to read and study uscript from packages with stripped code, it's really useful to learn from others' work. Only a few docs about Uscript are still available today so every resource is welcome !

Awesome post. I was aware this program could do this, I just have never really found the time to sit down and played with it. I may have to now.

Here's something almost NO ONE knows and it's right in their faces. You have the program UTPT? Most developers get it, play with it a bit, then discard it because they think it's a little 'simple'. People just don't realize it's one of the most powerful programs out for UT and it will let you do things that no other program I know of will do.
I'll show you using Danes Xmas mod. He strips everything he releases but I'll show you how to simply bypass it using UTPT.
First off, open the package with UTPT. Most people try to look at the code like this:
and so you get this error because the code is stripped:
So here's how to beat stripping...Instead of "View script" select "Decompile" like this:
and then you get:
BAM! Instant viewable and copyable source code. This method will work on all sorts of obfuscation so go forth and read code you could never get to before All those mods with hidden parts are now yours to view at your desire.

This program is really better than WOTgreal Package Exporter.

You are quite welcome, glad to help. This method won't work on everything but it does clear up probably 75% of hidden code.
