Between 6pm central time Friday December 4th and 8am central time Saturday December 5th, we will be changing out the server that runs the -=CoN=- Freestyle, -=CoN=- Head-2-Head, and -=CoN=- TeamSpeak. It is getting a significant upgrade to say the least. During this time the -=CoN=- Head-2-Head Server and -=CoN=- TeamSpeak will be offline. The -=CoN=- Freestyle will be moved to a temporary server so that it will remain online. However, the Freestyle server may be down for short periods of time lasting no more than 10 ? 15 minutes. This will be during the move to the temporary server and the move back to the new server.
The upgrade should not take as long as I have scheduled but I want plenty of time in case of any issues. After the time has elapsed both the Freestyle and the Head-2-Head will be online along with Teamspeak. I will update this post once the upgrade has been completed.

;bWOOHOO!!! Our servers already run exceptionally well but I can't wait to see how much better they run with this upgrade.
I just want to say how much I appreciate the commitment of time and attention you have made to make -=CoN=- THE BEST UT99 Sniper server in the world and I'm proud to be a part of it.
Way to go Strych!!!

Agreed! although I have only been with -=CoN=- a short time the admins dedication to making the server better is outstanding! Everyone should make time to thank Strych9 and the admins who make our ability to play here happen.

Thank you, we try to constantly make -=CoN=- better every chance we get. Ok here is more info on the upgrade.
Currently(don?t laugh it has served its purpose.):
- Computer guts not in a case
- Processor: 1.2Ghz AMD
- RAM: 512MB
Server going in Friday:
- HP Proliant DL360
- Processors: 2 XEON 3.4Ghz
- RAM: 4GB

Are you running this in a datacenter or out of your home? Is it linux or Windows? Just to give you
an idea of what you are upgrading too, the dedicated box we have is about the same as your new
machine only we only have 2 gigs of RAM. We run 8 UT99 servers, 1 UT2004 server, 1 COD:UO
server, 1 Halo Server, 1 Teamspeak server, and 1 Shockvoice server(Like TS only much better).
The box doesn't even so much as break a sweat and all the servers are lag free on Windows
Server 2003 Web Edition. I use FireDaemon Trinity to control and run all instances and radmin
instead of remote desktop. Radmin uses much less resources than Remote Desktop. Your new
box will have power for days.

I am running Windows 2003. Currently it is the 32bit, but going to try the 64bit on the new one. I am running it out of my home right now. I will take a look at FireDaemon trinity and radmin. I am currently using a combo or Remote Desktop and Dameware. |

Yeah I have been looking into the FireDaemon trinity and it looks really cool. Been playing with the free trail. Think I am going to get it. I am going to have to catch you another night on TS not going to be around the house tonight. Seems I have something all the time these days.  |

I would like to complain about the server upgrade as it has not helped my game at ALL!
I thought for sure with all the new technology I would at least be able to fly, see thru walls and have some type of shield mode just for me....wellllllll thhhhhhanks alot....
Seriously though thanks Strych9 for your effort on making this clan even better! These are the things that keep new players coming back and make our team even better. SOme days traffic is incredible on the server, completely full and as 1 leaves another comes on. A true measure of a master admin is when everything runs smooth and error free.
When things run smooth, people forget that the people behind the server are the reason it runs that well. It truly does not happen on its own.
Thanks again for the work you do pal!
