maybe you have used over the years or you are still using the well-known UTSpy. It is still today a simple but useful tool for tracing game status on your favourite UT99 servers, but it has also some drawbacks, like, for example, the limited number (10) of managed servers and the lack of infos/statistics about the servers.
Xfire, which maybe some of you already know (http://www.xfire.com), can be considered "de facto" for UT99 users a very improved version of UTSpy: it is not only able to manage a great number of videogames (so its use is not limited only to UT99) and to provide many infos about the servers but this software offers also interesting features like online/offline chatting with friends, seeing what games they are playing, capturing screenshots and videos (and publishing them on website) and many others (see this page for a complete list of features, http://www.xfire....ms/xf_tour).
I've been using it by more than 2 months (also for sharing infos with players from other clans) and I must say that it is a great tool (see the image enclosed).
I advice you to say "hello" to UTSpy (please don't cry now) and to adopt Xfire, this software is worth using. And for those having already Xfire, my nick is "mrpann" :)
