[SOLVED]looking to update video driver

Hey All,
Im not the best with updating drivers. I just updated an old computer of mine. Someone made it for me so its not from dell or HP. Im using and ATI radeon 9200. I would like to update that. I didnt know if anyone knew of a site where i could dl a new version or if this is something I have to purchase and manualy install.

Just go ATI's website and get the driver from them..

For XP go here http://support.am...00-xp.aspx
For Vista or Windows 7 they do not offer one specifically for the 9200 so it is probably included in the OS. |

Hey Sam... I have a ATI 9200 as well.... I actually just updated it in the device mangler (manager) just did a look for an updated driver and it found one... seems to be working pretty well for me.
And you should be able to use 3D hardware instead of the software rendering with your 9200

Yep that is the link. Get the Catalyst Softwarte Suite.

Are you just wanting an updated driver or do you want a better graphics card?
I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming and terrified like the passengers in his car. |

holy moly first whats the difference between driver and graphics card?
and rando im using direct 3d, tried software rendering and it ran really slow, also tried openGL and i could barely move the mouse around

I believe that 9200 is an older card but should still be plenty to run UT99.

I've been playing UT99 by 5 years on my old Toshiba notebook with an ATI Radeon 7000 Mobile - 64Mb video card...I think SAMCRO is more lucky than me...ah ah ah...  |
