Hey guys, like the title says, your server is killing me! It never used to. Can anyone think of a reason why? I just reinstalled UT and everything, didn't help.
[EDIT]
Moved to Get Help Section and added (NPLoader) to Subject for future reference.
Swagg,

Hello Beefheart,
What you are seeing is an error with ACE (new Cheat protection) trying to load and install for the first time. The issue is with the map it is on at that time. Once you get the ACE client installed this should not happen again.
Two things to try:
1: Wait for that map to change, then try again.
2: Go to our Head to Head server and let ACE load there then return.
Also, an update from ACE is in the near future that should stop this.

I use UTDC. Does this mean that I won't be able to get on the CON server unless I get rid of UTDC? |

Nah. It means if you leave a UTDC server, you need to restart UT before entering a server running ACE and
vice versa. The reason being is that, when you enter an ACE server, the server loads the files used by ACE
into your computers memory and they stay there and active even after you disconnect from that server. Then,
you try to connect to a UTDC server and it sees those files loaded into memory and the game engine from
the ACE server and flips out thinking they are illegal files/processes. If you get booted and it tells you
something about an unknown file/process, restart your UT and the issue should be gone.

Hey guys, I'm still having this exact same problem, and it's cropping up on just about every sniper server in existence.
I tried going to the head to head server to get ACE, but it just crashes, giving me that same "Cannot load music" error. I even tried to google ACE but nothing comes up, so I can't find a place to download it manually.
Any suggestions? Or anyone have the ACE files to send me?
thanks,
-beef |

1) Have you tried Re-Starting UT99 like Draco mentioned before connecting to an Server running ACE??
2) If you delete ACE*.* and NPLoader*.* in your System Folder then connect to the server you will get the files needed.
ALEt us know if this helps!

Yup, I've tried closing UT then opening it back up, no change.
I just went through my system folder, and there are no ACE or NPloader files at all. |

And you are looking at the System Folder under UT correct?
If so, I can email you the correct files.

The files will be in cache then or not installed yet (such as the dll).
Here is a zip of the files to do a manual install. Just extract everything to the system folder. This is only for ACE v0.8g
download ---> http://teamcon.ne...nstall.zip
Let me know if this works.
Thanks, |
